Transitions® Signature™ lenses, are clear indoors, but outside, are more reactive to UV light so they get darker in more conditions, such as bright sun, partial sun, cloudy and everything in between, including indirect light to offer prescription lens wearers a superior and enhanced way to see the world.

Transitions Signature lenses are the most balanced every day adaptive lenses. They have the ideal combination of darkness, fast fade back speed and indoor clarity. They provide you with optimal comfort in all situations and temperatures, and protect against harmful UV rays.


EXCLUSIVE CHROMEA7™ TECHNOLOGY
This exclusive, patented formulation consists of unique dyes that are integrated into the surface of the lens. The dyes are made up of molecules that constantly and smoothly recalibrate as the light around you changes. They darken and lighten to just the right degree so the optimal amount of light reaches your eyes.

The unique characteristics of this lens responds to many different indoor and outdoor situations that you might have with regards to a specific life style which makes these lenses personal to your individual lifestyles.

PHOTOCHROMIC MOLECULES CONTINUOUSLY ADJUST TO LIGHT
When Transitions lenses are exposed to UV light, trillions of photochromic molecules in the lens begin to change structure. This reaction is what causes the lenses to darken. Only Transitions Signature lenses use exclusive Chromea7 technology, a new formulation that allows the lenses to be more responsive than ever before.

MORE REACTIVE TO INDIRECT LIGHT
 Chromea7 technology was designed to be even more reactive to indirect light. Indirect light can come from many sources such as light bouncing off buildings, cars, or other surfaces or light filtering through trees or clouds. The lenses can sense this light, even when you’re facing away from it, and adjust to the appropriate shade for your situation.

MORE RESPONSIVE IN HOTTER CLIMATES
Temperature influences the molecules in photochromic lenses; they don’t get as dark in hot climates as they would in colder weather because of how heat interacts with the molecules. The molecules in Chromea7 technology were structured to be more independent of temperature, which means they get darker in hotter climates.
